I didnt believe it at first But a couple years back when i heard about it, fished on llandudno north shore, two hook rig baited with ragworm. Top hook's bait sprayed with a touch of WD40, the bottom hook left untouched. Result 3 fish to WD40.........0 to the other hook!!!
Still myth tho I think!!! ;D

Some of my mates have used it whilst i havent i found absolutly no difference to catch rates in fact they dont even bother with it now ,think your just adding to pollution myself my advice is to use good bait dont waste your money on addatives

sorry cliff we all need to try different tatics anyone remenber the bait safe white coffin used for casting out soft baits accounted for many a nice flattie of tc when my mates saw it they all went out and got one the thing even floated above the snags close in as for wd40 it has been used for yrs even said it on the can a few yrs back maybe the ea got in contact with them as for golf plenty of time for that when i'am dead
