I was down there Sunday,,, as long as you don't go into their grounds you are OK. the trek down to the outflow is a bit longer but when the fish are having it, its worth it They weren't on Sunday tho!!

How do you get down there i went down there this evening and walked down to opposite wilfa and couldnt see any where to fish anywhere near the water only up on top of the rocks and if theres 1 thing im not doing its risking my life for a fish so any one have any directions to get down next to the water?

I have been down there once, on the side you are referring to - its not a difficult climb over the top of the obvious pillar ands down to a good ledge - I also climbed down and accross from further right as you look down - but I used to rock climb a lot and didn't have my rod with me that day. The easiest way down that side was down and up over the pillar - any other route looked too tricky to me and not worth the risk.

Guy's Please note, The Officers who patrol Nuclear Power station Installations only carry weapons within the internal security perimeter fence as a matter of normal duties and only where Nuclear fissionable waste is being treated after decommission from a reactor. The area where guys fish by the Pillar is an open public location where there is not the risk of a terrorist event taking place therefore there wouldn't be a need to openly patrol in such equipped circumstances. who ever started this crazy rumour has been watching too much TV and Nintendo games to be an angler at large. if anyone at the pillar locatioin sees anyone pointing a weapon at them, don't hestate and call N.Wales Police on 999 and tell them you are in an Armed weapon situation and need assistance. That will sort the myths out big time once and for all if indeed if it ever happened.
