Hi all, some of you may know that cliffnorry is having a holiday down my way,he asked if me and mum would like to go out fishing sometime, but obviously one of us had to open the shop so i went out on his boat wednesday wasn't to sure about a smaller boat, but i got on it anyhow!! We seen a load of gulls playing on the water so we thought there has got to be something there,so we stopped and downed the mackeral feathers and were straight into them,we got a bucket full for bait and headed out. We went out to patches point (the green bouy) and thought we would try for tope with a whole mackeral but was getting constant nibbles from the doggies , i had 2 doggies, dave dropped a bull huss and had a couple of doggies and cliff had nothing We decided to move on and stopped by a reef for whatever was around, i had my first pollack on feathers,a decent size i suppose about 2lb so i was well chuffed ;D cliff had a smaller one to. The water was very clear, i could actually see the pollack and mackeral take the feathers it was that clear!! but we didn't really know all of the "proper" marks so it was a bit dissapointing but it was nice to get out anyhow! so all in all a quiet day, mackeral were plentifull. I have given cliff a map with some marks that are well known, i think he is going out saturday so hopefully they will have a better time

to say a little more about Friday, we were fishing for bait with shrimp hockies but the fish were slow so we bated wirh small strips of mac,and was surprised when Steave my frend landed a nine and a half pound bull, then the best laugh of the day was that Steave had struck at something three times and missed so he was realing in and as the water was so clear we saw the triger fish following the bait, so I said lower the bait down to the bottom, I was quickly realing at the other side of the boat, when he got to the bottem I droped my bait by him got the bite and struck, give me spider wire over mono any time! I call the fish a nearly Steave,
