Visited malcolms on the way to penmon yestaerday and apparantly he wont be getting any rag in for quite a while due to it not being available off his old supplier and other suppliers are too expensive, anyone else know anything about this???

Sadly, because of the severe hot weather, UK's top Ragworm Farm has lost all its current stock. The weather also hit the Dutch farms and now will render fthe farmed rag unavailable for up to 10weeks.
Other smaller suppliers have apprently doubled their prices!!!!

Try looking at digging your own mate, loads of places in north Wales.

hi to all its always a problem with the farmed rag i use to sell it and when the sun was hot for couple off weeks there was always problems with the supple of rag . thats why i started getting wild rag . sometimes on the small tides they are hard to the rag . but i have now got a good suppler of wild rag thank god . i believe sea baits have put there price of farmed rag up in price???

Yeah it is a bit, and effort. I went out Friday to dig some. I had a hell of a job I found the holes, but they were nearly 2 fork fulls down in this heat. I ended up digging a trench 2 fork fulls deep, 2 wide and 10ft long for about 6 rag.
There has got to be a better way of doing it!!

I could with this shortage I could start selling them, £5 a pack at doubled prices! Joke BTW.
