I will be in the area in mid September and would be grateful if anyone feels able/inclined to share some information on how/when/where to fish the Artro estuary area.
Please PM me with any sensitive information.
Thanks

hi griffo, it's a very good area to fish, especialy off shell island, in the estuary you can catch plenty of mullet if you've got the patience for them the best place to go for them is up by the first bridge, you can see them playing under the bridge and are happy to take bread off the surface. also the fishing off the beach at shell island can be productive for bass when there is a face wind and a bit of a surf, if you can cast far enough there is a chance of a ray but you'll catch mainly dabs inshore and the school bass can be good sport when they are in, best rigs are long flowing ones and bait wise try everything i've caught bass on everything from rag to razor, it depends on what they are after.
tight lines
gareth.
