The place for you mate is Bridlington ;D I think there is a pier there that fishes really well, but what I'd be tempted to do is ring a tackle shop there during the day and find out the best local mark, what bait is catching etc.....!! If you can't contact a tackle shop, take fresh crab or frozen if you can't get fresh, ragworm, lugworm and some mackerel. Use a 3/0 hook for the crab or a 2/0 for the worm. If you can't get any crab, try ragworm tipped off with a little bit of mackerel. Be careful mate cos fishing at night alone can be dangerous!!! Keep an eye on the tide and don't take any unnecessary risks as no-one is about to help you!!!! Apart from that you'll love it ;D ;D Oh and don't forget your flask Hope this helps mate and good luck!!! Hope to read your catch report when you get back

Here's what I've been told and I don't know how true it is but here goes, Dogfish Thornback Rays Codling Whiting And other various species including Bass at the right spot but I didn't get the info on that one!
Never fished there myself but if you ring a local tackle shop like I say I'm sure they will put you onto the right spot and tell you what bait and what's catching ;D
Hope this helps mate and good luck Tompa

forget brid mate unless u enjoy a bit of float fishing down the harbour walls for small billet and a outside chance of a mackrel maybe
bridlington south beach will produce plenty of small bass and small dabs using lite gear in the surf.
the better fishing is further down south around the withernsea area 3/0 pennal pully rigs with crab and squid baits should get a few bass, thornys, doggys and the odd smoothound still outside chance of a cod aswell to crab
bridlington is more of a winter mark for big bags of whiting and odd cod
