hi casper , the sea bed off fort william car parkis clear with few snags, july to october is the best time for fish when a 70 yard cast will put you into mackeral, thornback rays,dogfish, dab, flounder, whiting and small codling. the shingle point 200 yards to the leftof the pier is another favorite spot but the whole area can fish
a strong rod with a 7000 size reel with 20lb line is an ideal set up, 1up, 1down rigs with 1/0 or 2/0 hooks + grip leads.
peeler crab best for rays, sandeel or mackeral, for dogs and mackeral, worm will take other species

sorry for not answering sooner steve i have been very busy with one thing and another ,i had a lovely couple of outings at the car park fort william,not a lot of fish but well worth the visit,many thanks for your advice
