If your going to catch nothing, make it a big nothing. Use big baits

Don't know to much about the area fishwise. but I have seen the current running through there it's very fast. So I would advise launching at the top or bottom of the tides, for safety reasons.

Dash off across the North Deep at West Shore and fish off the Great Ormes Head (check tides and weather first), Won't take you long, Expect Whiting,Codling,Gurnard,Flatties,Dogs,Rays. Or If your boat can handle it try the Constable bank North of the Gt Orme, Here you will get Tope, Rays, Huss, Flatties etc. Or fish the fairway buoy off Pen on the flood for Flatties and the odd Codling Whiting etc. Remember that it is a Nursery area for Bass. No boat fishing for Bass or live sandeel for Any species, it's the law! As for bait, well crab is king, followed by lug/rag fresh mackerel fillet. and hockais.

try about 2-300 yards off the end of llandudno pier, theres a big hole off there, you should find it with a sounder, Ive fished it with my boat, had rays. been told its good for small tope and smoothies too. Any of the coves around the orme are good for mackerel in the summer. Ive used conwy beacons to launch when the swell was too bad at penmaenmawr, best off there at high water watch the run though, smallish tides are better. You can launch and retrieve at low water but watch you dont get stuck on the loose shingle and sand. I used to put my trailer on a length of rope and back it down that way keeping my motor on the small concrete slip, use good rope though, nuff said Hope some of that helped, Martin
