only used to shore fishing, but a few of us would like to try off a boat. We would like to try for tope and would need to hire the rods and such, can anyone recommend a good skipper that can cope with about 8 shore fishermen, that would like to broaden there horizens. It would clash with a 40th birthday so if anyone knows of digs aswell that would be great, thinking round the llyn area. Cheers all, great site.

Bit limited as not many charter boats left on the Lleyn, you could try Jason, www.northwalesfishingcharter.com/. He is based at Pwhelli marina. He does rod hire and tope trips, I was out with him in January catching tope. If you will travel to Holyhead Gethyn will give you a good day, www.goangling.co.uk/

Another option is either Amlwch with Pat on kerry kim or Tony Parry`s Jensen out of Rhyl, they both will target tope for you. They both have links on the wfsa site.

Most of the boates out of Rhyl go for tope, they also hire rods.when you thinking of going? you need to get sailing times etc and book in plenty of time.
