Does anyone have a nicotine habit and how do you get on smoking in your kayak? Been thinking of ways to keep my fags and lighter dry!!!

Best I can do is a Plaster box that is almost 100% water proof and just bung em in my 6" centre hatch. Smaller than a sandwich box and about the size of a fag packet. Never seen a photo yet on the site of anyone kayaking wit a fag in their mouths. Surely someone else must do it? Were fishermen not fitness fanatics.

I smoke in the yak, roll em too. Just keep my bag of baccie in top pocket and ensure that I don't take any unexpected swimming lessons. Happy smoking

I'm of them at the minute - a full 3 weeks now but I'm on a charter at the weekend so we will see - wouldn't one of the small aquapacs be ideal - I've got one for my mobile - about the same size as a packet of ciggies and a lighter - cost about £16 hangs around your neck & waterproof.

I put my papers in the baccy packet and the baccy packet in a sealable sandwich bag. Put sealed bag in pocket of my PFD. The only problem in getting my hands dry before i roll up. Think it's time to pack in and find a dry place for all the sweets I would probably eat. Cheers Tim

Reminds me of the Eskimo lad who was sent fishing by his father day after day with the instructions to get fish but to never light a fire in the kayak.
On one bitterly cold day the young lad was tempted & lit a small fire to keep warm, unfortunatly the kayak caught fire & the lad had to swim ashore & explain it all to his father.
After listening to the lads story the father said ...........................
........................................................................................................
' well son , that proves you can't have your kayak & heat it '
