Just had tete-a-tete with Kevin.
He asks =
With regards to this venue is it fishable with a fly from the shore? Bream are one of the species that I would like to catch on fly???
Now, I have caught bream on Sabiki / hokki type traces with a mackeral strip. Some have not had the mack on when landed ...
So, Are we to try to get sea bream on fly this year ...
Has anyone already DONE IT ?
PS Kevin ... Get the feeling we need to be out on a boat on one of the 'known' reefs offshore in the summer.

I have heard of bream being caught on a fly in the channel islands, not sure if they were targeted or just accidental though. If you know somewhere that they're in range then it's got to be worth a go

You might need a boat or Kayak to get to reefs and weed plains.
Which beggars the question.................Float tube?

Ihave only caught bream from a boat. but they must come inshore when conditions are right' (big tide at night) like any other fish they go were the food is likely to be' but I have found that they like lots of coulerd beeds, and my rigs have at least 4 or 5 behind each hook, and they are not loners, so if you catch one, you are in for a good time.
