does anyone know where i can get my spinning rod fixed. the screw fitting is shot on the reel clamp so need a new one. any ideas chaps. need it done soon. cheers. ;D ;D

Hi Shootist, Dont know anyone up your way, but over this way, ('ish) I'd say your best bet is Foxons in St.Asaph. Problem you will have is if it needs a new realseat they'll have to remove the cork from the foregrip, which makes the whole job quite a tricky one. Your only other bet is a specialist rod builder but it'll cost you big bucks, so you may be as well just treating yourself to a new rod. Give Foxons a ring tho - if any shop can, they can. 01745 583583 Good luck with it

i no the shop. i sometimes get flys off them when im down their. think its the daughter who does the repairs if my memorys right. cheers harpoon.

Yeah! She's very good with a rod!
She once built me a rod for the son and personalised it with his name, did a very good job.
You could have a crack at it yourself, all the gear you need is at Foxons, I have built and re-built rods in the past, I'ts not that difficult and quite pleasing when you see the end result.

Hi Shootest' if Chester is not too far for you, look at reel repairs on the for sale page, not dear but allways a good job.
