Hi all, im new to this site and i must admit, everyone seems very friendly and helpfull, its nice 2 see If just started fishing again after being out of it for about 6-7 years due to work and lack of time, and i have forgotten even some of the basic stuff like rigs Ive been fishing off Caernarfon Pier and have caught nothing but doggies for the last couple of weeks, im going to try of the beach near Waterloo Port prob mid week and was hoping some one could refresh my memory on which rigs are best for the straights and on which bait to use, ive been using Black Lug up until now.# also ive been asked if i want to join one of the local fishing clubs, its £10 for the season and a comp every month, is it worth joining a club? Hope somene can re-enlighten me on this because its kinda embarassing really

Welcome to the site, im sure you will get all of your questions answered in the best possible way. Don't feel embarrassed as were all once in your place, and i think it is a honour to teach someone about something you love in this case fishing! i run a fishing tackle shop and it is so rewarding when someone goes away with all their kit and advice they need to start fishing, and even better when they come back and say how much they enjoyed it! Unfortunately i don't fish around that area so im not too sure on the local tactics, but im sure someone soon will enlighten you!! ;D Remember we are here to help Laura
