After a work imposed 6 week break from fishing I managed to get a few hours in this evening.
Fished Ty Croes from around 5pm through to 7. 4 Mackerel, 1 small Ballan and a pollack. No big fish playing today. Mate of mine had a couple of small Pout and a Pollack.
The gate by the race track has been chained and locked, So it was a detour to get onto the venue. The big pile of mud behind the gate has been removed and it looks like the farmer is now using the road you park up on next to the race track for access. So unless anyone fancies scaling barbed wire fences it looks like this place is effectively denied to us now.
Anyhow, left at 7 due to a large swell developing and moved to a mark on the Anglesey side of the straits between the 2 bridges, saw it while driving around. tried baits and plugs but apart from a swell moving against the current after one of my lures it was blankety blank time. Left around 9.30pm.

Thanks for tip off, that has saved me a disapointing trek out there. Shame that, JonnyD and I always did quite well off there. Cheers again. Nickb

The straits have not be brilliant of late there are fish about though, crab is still the only bait worth taking. Although I have had codling to over a pound showing a liking for lug???
