That can be really useful info at times, especially if you live 30 miles away like myself in Deeside. If anyone from up the coast (Colwyn area) Would like to drop a post on the sea state on sat/sun, I for one would be most grateful as I intend to be fishing on Sunday. Its always handy to know what the conditions you are heading for, helps packing the gear you really need and the gear you don't need. Also helps with what stages of tides to fish and most appropriate baits to fetch along too. And of course there is the safety aspect to consider especially when selecting some venues.

Good point Holford. Living in Holywell I tend to look out to the Dee to see the state of the water, It could look rough out past Hilbre Island, but get to Llandudno etc and its like a mill pond and vice versa.

Hi all, sea state information can help a great deal as already mentioned in many ways. Wouldn’t it be great if through this site we could arrange some sort of daily sea state info for all anglers who visit this site regular? Of course this information could only be used as a guide and could not be relied upon fully as I think we all know sea conditions can change very quickly. However this basic information combined with national sources could be really useful in helping us all have Safe and Productive fishing trips. ;D Any thoughts Admin, Best Regards, Holford. P.s. I obviously have no idea how much work this would involve, however nothing ventured nothing gained.

For anyone who hasn't seen this - the BBC inshore water forecast mentions the sea state. Though I know it can be different within a few miles sometimes....but it gives me a clue as to what's happening! ;D www.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast/inshore/
