Its the holiday time again and I hear the sun sea and surf calling from mounts bay. Last two week in August, got some gear couple multipliers, fixed spools( with line), a beach caster + two diddy rods and lots of enthusiasm but not sure what baits to use may try spinning for mackerel or pollack.Might if I'm lucky may fish St Ives and Godrevy if my beautiful and kindly young lady will let me . I think i might like to try the hale estuary. Would like more info on just what I may be likely to encounter. would appreciate any insight or info anyone may give thanks.. ;D

You should be in for turbot and bass from them marks. St Ives has some lovely beaches but try to get onto one of the Rocky headlands and fish from there. Sandeel will get you Turbot. The beaches produce bass after dark. The Hayle estuary is complex and has Carnsew Pool for mullet and bream. The estuary for bass to baits or plugs or the beach and mouth of the estuary for bass / turbot. Fish the beach area at night.
