Hi Guys
I had 4/5 great days at Morte Hoe last summer June/July/August. I was spining and got plenty of Makeral, a few Bass and 1 Garfish.
Ive been doen there twice in late may and june and had nothing. Ive been told the bass are in, but am wondering why ive had nothing on a lure?
Any suggestions welcome
Cheers

Welcome to the site. Difficult question, perhaps it could be that earlier in the year a lot of fish are feeding on Peeler Crab that has a major moult. It is more likely that in July / August the sea temperature means there are a lot more prey fish like sandeel about. Then the bass feed heavily on them increasing your chances. The only thing you can do is keep at it. Try different lures and ones that fish at different levels. Conditions will also affect your chances and look for a sea that has movement and preferably high oxygen levels through surf.
