the rocks down at western kings (near devils point on the tamar) are pretty good, a low tide at dusk will see bass chasing the mackrel up the river, and this year there seems to be more bass than in recent years
its a bit hit or miss, but its worth looking for seagulls sitting in the mouth of the river, if they are there in numbers you can rely on the mackerel not being far behind, and the bass not far behind them!
blue and white mackerel type plugs have done ok for me, bass bullets are what i use, they look just like a little joey
cast over the weed beds at low
seen some massive pollak down there snapping at surface poppers
the rocks on the far side of bovisand (not the fort side) under the holiday chalets (not sure if this is where you meant in the other post) are very good for bass, fish the low up, but the tide races in here so keep your wits about you!, ive had a few times where ive come back with wet feet!!
stoke point is also supposed to be good, but never had much luck there on lures myself
let us know how you do
