Hi All,
Has anyone been shore fishing the Forth or anywhere in South East Scotland in general and had any joy so far this year?
I'm relatively new to shore fishing in the region and looking for potential marks.
Is it me or is there no many fish around?
Sorry bit rude of me asking for advice and giving nowt in return - please see seperate post of fishing reports.

Aye Bazeroo, I've never fished the shore, but I've been out of Dysart on a boat a few times this year and caught nowt. Which side are you on? Cheers Jaspurr

sorry to say but there isn't too many good spots in the Forth, there are a couple of spots you can try such as Thorntonloch powerstation and beach, however it has suffered from some idiots taking the fish out undersized and so now you'll be lucky to take any bass out over a pound. On the other side of the forth there is a number of good cod spots along the crail stretch namely the harbour and the caravan park. However its best to go out on boat there's a couple decent charters in the north Berwick area you should give them a try. Tight lines!

Had a good session at Granton on Saturday - 3 codling and 7 wrasse on rag with 2 Coley and 2 Mackerel on a trace. Good fun.
For codling and wrasse I've always found a rising tide fishes better but when the mackerel are in in numbers any tide fishes well.
