any body else interested in starting a web site to name and shame sellers of under sized bass and other species,
i have just returrned from the south west and have seen several shops and supermarkets selling bass barley 25cm in length..
now we have banged on about the supermarkets for some time but these are local shops boasting locally caught fish, if we and the fishing community want to keep fishing then we all need to respect the legislation set in place to protect the survival of these species.
any thoughts?

The sellers are apparentlywell know to Defra fishery officers , its just a case they don't get to see the dealers in the main shops of N wales, especially the dealers in llandudno lots of bass go to Liverpool, Bolton and Fleetwood fish markets whats not getting done is nailing the netters who fish the Bass Nursery sites like the Conwy, Dee or Dovey at night. Thats what should be complained about so the netters activities are curtailed

very good point thunderstick, i am sure if enough people start to complain and some form of media coverage can be gained it will force the issue out into the open more.

maybe we should carry cameras and photograph the fish and the shop front - we should do this to anglers who insist on taking undersize fish as well. DEFRA claim to be over stretched, if we provide proof they should follow it up - or maybe not....
