Has anyone looked at the other forms regarding chicken as bait? Has anyone ever tried using Chicken or other meats as Bait or even Pasta?

I think if it is protien then something will eat it, maybe not first choice but yeah. I caught crabs on bread, which shocked me, and I have heard of flounder eating them.

Bob,
We've done this one to death mate!! Have a look on the northwest forum under Fresh chicken. I don't think that thread will ever die.

Ive not used chicken persay, but I have used chicken hotdogs.
Ive used them in the new craze of MICROFISHING in freshwater, Ive caught some really small fish on it WOW.
No seriously, MICROFISHING was something this Japanese guy told me about, take the smallest gear you got (very light icefishing rods about a 18 inches in length) get some really light line 4lb max, tiny trout hooks, and tiny baits. And sit by a nice little river and catch some really small fish.
Ive seen guy fishing all day for big fish and not catch anything, while just sit there get loads of little buggers. Its good fun and even better to way to get the kids fishing (there not so scared of tiny fish) and it also teaches then to respect the fish...
But then again I am nearly Canadian now LOL
