Well done for the clean up operation.
I hate to see 'Ammo' bags fluttering around on the beach too.
They kinda give the the game away that a lot of anglers are untidy louts!
Some people are just plain lazy, and I'd fine them too!

"how dare you ask me if all my rubbish comes home with me" Not very freindly? ? thought this site was about fishing and meant to be like a community of anglers who look out for each other and meet each other not argue with each other honestly its like a primary school play ground on here!!!!!

Hi guys Its a problem the world over.. Even here in nice polite and normally clean Canada. One of my fravourite marks over here is loaded down with Garbage (Trash (Rubbish)). Over here they have an Idea knocking about to put a Deposit on anything that can be recycled, they aready do it with pop cans (its a about 5cents (2 1/2 pence) not everyone returns the cans they buy but the homeless guys make a nice living from the ones left behind). But normally most anglers are good its just the odd few, like with anything, that sully our good reputation. Maybe if there was a £5 deposit on plastic wrappers there wouldn't be many left lying about, and if all consumables had a recycling deposit tied to them then we wouldn't be so eager to leave things behind. There I said my bit. I take everything home and leave all the fish I catch alive and health, to prove it I have caught the same large mouth bass 3 times last week, but this week its not there anymore. I'll miss that fish he fought hard

that should be put to schools Sam, not saying that kids are responcible'' but they are verry dedecated when they take on sumthing like this, a local school were I used to live did this on local streets and roads, when I saw them out every one I saw picking litter up I gave them 20p each, (it can mount up) it had another efect it made most adults more contious of litter.

i think its a great idea for the kids to help, but lets face it were big enough and ugly enough to tidy up after ourselves!!! don't know about anyone else but i have the most respect for our coast after all most of us care and love the fish when we catch them why can't we do the same for our beaches!

Drove past where the car's park on the orme last night, next to the path down to Pigeon holes. Someone had collected a lot of rubbish it seems off the rocks, i.e. empty beer cans, bait bags etc. There must have been 3 bin bags, as well as carrier bags and a cardboard Stella Box full of rubbish left there ready for the bin wagon it seems. Top marks to that person

We've had this dissgusion before on the forum and nothings changed, i take my rubbish home as do most people reporting on this forum but however there's the mindless louts that dont.
there's no need to be getting at each others throats over this on the forum, we are all supposed to be responsible adults so lets act like it and please stop this arguing, as is ts been said before theres a lot of children that look to this forum for advice and to log on and see petty arguments isnt good.
I did mention before on a thread that we could have an organised day as a forum and everyone go to a beach near you and have a litter sweep of all fishing related rubbish and no-one was interested, so i still do my bit and take my and other peoples rubbish home or to the nearest bin.
I wouldnt realy want my kids picking up rubbish on a beach because there's all sorts of dodgy stuff washed up and left by people, but thats my decision.
So if you are all willing to do a litter sweep of your local beach and send the pics in, the non-fishing public will see that we do actualy care about the state of our beaches and even the hard to get to marks.
And finaly lets not tear eachother apart over this and other issues on the forum.
Happy days, Martin ;D

A very valid post and we all should me mindful. At a match of 20 anglers My Daughter wandered up the beach and collected any rubbish the Anglers Fishing had. It amounted to a full black bin bag full. Its a shame so many spoil the popular venues by leaving litter.

I agree that there could be dogie things on the beach, so my Idea is a no no, but I am at a loss to what to do about people that leave their litter, and other things, when fishing at Pensarn, there were a couple of dog fish laying on the beach with their throts cut. I felt very bad when holladay makers walked past looked at the fish with discust and then looked at us in the same way,
