looking through a web site re welsh records it states shore caught record for gilthead bream was landed llanddwyn beach in 1977.does anyone know if they have been caught since?

thats what i thought, but looking into thier habits it might not be a one off . but i need to know what tatics to use if anyone has fished for them please help

A lot down here in some of the Estuaries such as Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Hayle.
The most succesfull methods are ledgered peeler crab and ragworm baits on a size 2/0 hook.
All the estuaries are deep water with sand and rocks, lots of bladderack weed and crabs.
Do you know anyhwere similar up there?

have a look at the ones in the seaworld aquarium on anglesy,perhaps the staff there could give you some info.

hi chris,maybe but they can also be found in brackish water as they have been caught in esturies in the south west i think this maybe my own personnal wild goose chase.

Maybe mate, maybe.
I have bene out after alot of species and can I target them? Can I ****. Only one I have been successful with is ray and a few mini species.
