I doubt the braid will damage the rollers more the other way round, because the braid is so fine it has a tendancy to get trapped down the side of the rollers, if this happens when you have 100ft of line out and the line gets nicked thats pretty much the whole spool goosed, best i could say is just to take care, braid certainly has it's advantages in deep water with a good tide run, i have a rod with a roller tip that i use when fishing the deeps off Holyhead for tope, 200ft of water with a strong tide you need 2lb of lead to hold bottom with mono but you can half that with braid, i use Power Pro 30lb braid with a 200lb Suffix mono leader in these conditions and with care i've never trapped a line in the roller, hope this helps

Castermans right about the braid betting caught between the side of the roller. You can buy rods with braid rollers their a lot smaller and the braid cant get caught, well it never has on the one i

I use spiderwire, the bigest problem with rollers is when you miss a strike, your line is out of controle for a second, this tends to happen a lot with mono because of the strech of the line, this dose not happen with braide, when you strike so you miss a lot less and do not get ;)the whiplash which could be the cause of roller problems, I use 6lb through to 30 lbs, my tope rod has only rollers through out the rod. ;D
