Any flatties in there or what? I have some work to do there and thought I'd take a telescopic rod for my lunch break amusement.

You would be better trying for School Bass!
Great fun on a light telescopic.
There are several decent marks around the Harbour. However, there is one, which is generally overlooked. It has produced some large bags this year.
Go to Gosport: Ferrol Road.
Ferrol Road is a cul-de-sac, which butts on to one of the Portsmouth Harbour "Lakes"....... can't remember which one.....
It is at the back of St Vincent College.
To get there from the ferry: Face the High St and take the right hand road..... Mumby Road.....It is about 1/2 a mile along Mumby and Forton Roads, on the right. That would be, effectively, the third road on the right.
For the Pub Hopper, Walk along Mumby Rd to the Forton Rd traffic lights. Pass the Railway Arms (on left). At the Five Alls (on left) cross over to the Swan..... That's Ferrol Road.....
If you are a Buff, there is a Buff Club opposite the Swan on Ferrol Road.
