Sunday 14th November. Fished the area south west of the needles; about two miles from the IOW. One of about ten boats in a small area, 24 meters deep, so heavy leads to cope with the spring tides. No Cod on any of the boats around me and nor had the other boats I spoke to waiting to get into muddeford harbour (stranded outside by the lack of water in the approach to the harbour !!!!). Some fair sized Whiting & Pouting, good fun on light tackle at slack water, but no fun on a pound+ of lead. Got bored with the current and headed into the shollower depths off Hurst Shingle and rewarded with a 3lb Bass. Nice to get out on the boat, but where are the Cod
