:'(its real name is unrepeatable but we call it sapphire hell, all joking aside its a very demanding venue that will cause your bank manager to rub his grubby hoofs together when you ask it to re mortgage your home to finance your sappire hell bottom fishing, 'try the float fishing or bouyant plugs '''BEST OF LUCK'''.

Believe it or not but live prawn fished under a cigar float is an absolute killer.Last summer we had a great day using this method, we caught Mullet, Pollack,Mackerel,Garfish and Bass a real mixed bag. All fish came about 2hrs till high water. Floats were set at 5ft but be prepared to alter depth to find feeding fish.I love this venue but be prepared for tackle loss.Night fishing is great and the venue is never crowded (TAKE A DROPNET) Try livebaited Pouting,Mackerel chunks, flappers, especially Mackerel head and guts.I do believe this venue has the potential to produce a possible record, but again this venue is extremely tackle hungry (one of my mates calls this venue Samphire NO!).When bottom fishing I use 25lb straight (no shockleader),a weak or "rotten bottom"pull out to the weight and also a slightly weaker link to the hook.Floatfishing I use 10lb line, cigar float,2 or 2/0 fine wire hooks and live prawn or Mackerel strip.Spinning is good with wedges,Bass bandits etc but you are about 15ft above the water and I do prefer to be spinning off a beach.
