COD off the needles yet ??

I keep asking...someone must know ....have there been any Cod caught off the Needles yet ??
I'm gonna be there on Sunday if the forecast is true...flat calm and sunny, with an incoming tide from 0630 hours...bloomin perfect. All I need is fish to make the day.

Look I'm not asking for official secrets....just a leg up on if the COD have arrived ??

i don't know of any, but I don't know much - certianyl 2-3 weeks ago people i spoke to hadn't heard of any. Whiting in though. I'll be out too, but boat too small for needles, i think, so try for whiting and some late bass.

Sunday 20th: I had two cod, but they were spookily shaped like dogfish and were pretty small, so I put them back (after killing them of course :-). Lovely day though. Think I am sunburnt.

Thanks mate...as you say the weather was nice but the fishing was pretty naff
