Hi all, i took my boat out yesterday (sunday 20th Nov).I fished at Dungeness, opposite the old light-house, about a mile out. Had few doggies/whiting and the usuall pesky pouts but no cod!!!!Most of the time was spent having a "to do" with a local Trawlerman. I had anchored over his nets. I explained to him that as they were not Marked/flagged/bouyed, and that my crystal ball wasnt working how was i supposed to know his nets were out in my vacinity!!!!!It ended amicably enough (i got my anchor back after it had been dragged up by his hauler, damaging his net). I realise commercial fisherman have a living to make but please MARK YER F**CKIN NETS OUT PROPERLY!!!. Robbie13

Not that I am wishing to join a nagging list, but whilst they are at it can they please put flags above the crab-pot marker buoys.....so they can be seen by us in low light/speed.
And the guy who sets his pots off Christchurch/Mudeford, who uses black metal marker buoys and no flags ......that really isn't cricket old chap !!!
A bamboo cane with a piece of plastic to give a visual display at distance is cheap and easy to impliment - arn't there navigfation rules about such things ??!!
