bought a northstar lamp, used it once. kept dimming then getting brighter, can only describe it as "pulsing". help !!!!! never had any problems witn my trusted old tilley lamp, not took it apart yet but will be later

Take it back and ask for another one. They'll either change it or show you what or if you are doing something wrong. I prefer powerhouses. Better and more reliable than tillys and easier and simpler than northstars. Why not ask to change for a powerhouse.

yep i agree about taking it back for a swap or refund personally ive been using a north star for the year or so and can only recommened it , best lamp ive ever used so bright i leave my cap lamp at home
