Hi
No, i haven't left yet, but am in the middle of pack-up-and-panic. Will send some pictures if i catch anything. Sod it, the scenery will be great anyway, so i will just send pictures! got a boat sorted from Cook islands (www.pacificmarinecharters.co.ck) but this is a long shot i guess - not really best season, apart from tuna. got a travel spinning rod packed plus some plugs and lures! yey!
I wanted to go to Aututaki - which looks like a lure/fly fishers paradise (http://www.ck/aitutaki/index.htm) but the travel agent cocked up and we couldnt get connectng flights.
I am also lookign forward to the bream and bass when i get back here. haven't caught anything worthwhile for a long time - haven't even been out for a long time.
Did you get your cod? Must be getting nesr the end of that (?) "season" (?)

Hi Brm, No Cod yet...haven't been able to get out recently due to weather and working in the garden. Today through to Friday the weather is perfect, which is typical. If the wind holds off till saturday then I'm launching the boat, but personally I reckon my chances of a Cod this year are slim. Still it will just be apleasure to get out on the water and catch some fish....any fish Good luck on your trip to NZ....I reckon your little travel rod will do the business with a tuna !!!!!
