planning a trip to weymouth at the end of march hoping to have a crack at small boat plaice fishing could anybody give me tips on rigs,baite, marks,or anything else that might helpi would be gratefull ,robo

Long traces with attractors and a touch of red beads. Plain leads so the rig can move about in the banks and find the gulleys. Best bait seems to be rag worm tipped with a thin fish tip, sandeel fillet, mackerel or squid.
End of March though may be a bit early as the Plaice appear in numbers as the sandeel shoals start to come in. April if the weather is warm onward would be better.

Hi Guys I'm still here...not been fishing for a month now due to a combination of weather and having destroyed my propellor on a shingle bar and not yet replaced it !!!!!
No personal knowledge of the Plaice fishing....something I am promising to have a go at ...eventually.
let us know how you get on ...I will be after your advice
