I braved the high winds today (19/5/06) and fished one of my favorite shore marks (fairlight) and drew a complete blank!. I thought i was gonna clean up on Bass with the surf really high and a SW blowin a gale. Maybe its still a bit to early for Bass from the beach, due to the cold spring. Has anybody caught any yet this year? cheers Robbie.

Will let you know after Saturday when Im off out to look for a couple. Have heard they are here and being caught all the way up English Channel. I guess things just slower this year. Spring was late, (we had hard hail storms today), crabs are late moulting and the sandeels are not here in major numbers yet. One things for sure - it can only get better.

well cant say i have had any crabs this year, or seen any bass but i am getting ready for a trip early next week. i am goig to try a few new baiting ideas out such as the roast chicken in a "chum net" baiting an area up a day before i fish. dont know if it will work but worth a try.
