Just got back from fishing by the lighthouse at new Brighton, usual score, plenty of whiting and dabs, well more dabs than whiting actually! it wasn't as busy as it has been, we got the chance to finish a brew before it got cold! While we were there, there was a couple of blokes pushing a net along the low water line for shrimps. when they got to us an emptied the net there was a few of them puffer fish in there, he didn't seem to have a clue as to what they were until we told him. Does anyone know if its usual to get them there? i thought they hung out in warmer water.

Low water the next few days will see big tides on the Mersey,31/1,h/w1232,tide32.8. 1/2,h/w1315,tide 33.1ft. I live by the Mersey and I do not fish these big tides theres to much water running in and out, better to fish say Saturday its an 29ft,this is a bit better.
