Can anyone suggest suitable spots for beach casting between the two locations. I'm new to this and have tried sandside but its costing me a fortune in snagged tackle, so suggestions of places where I have a good chance of still having the rig on the end of my line when I reel in would be realy appreciated.
Cheers
Bob

Well there is a lot of coats between Blackpool and Arnside. Loads of sandy beach.
Only problem is that a lot of it is the bay which you can't really fish since the water moves so far on each tide. Heysham has a few good spots. Like on the harbour wall opposite the ferry terminal, or behind the power station near the caravan park. Can be okay for bass there sometimes.
With me being a Cleveleys lad I'll stick around here where its best. Fleetwood is good all the way from the Marine Hall to Rossall point, but only when the fish are there.

woody, you could try between north and central piers at low water at night, keep quiet, keep lights to a minumum and you will be surprised what you can catch, hardly anyone fishes at this venue as described, at this time of year you have a fair chance of bass, you dont need a big cast if you keep quiet and lights to a minimum, they will come in close: in less than 2 foot of water, use black lug for bait, full ones on 4/0 hooks, and hold your rod feeling for bites.
