I've just seen an article in the June issue of sea angler, the article suggests that good smooth hounds, flatties and even the odd bass can be had on that stretch of coast and that it is best fished at night. Sounds good to me and I'd like to give it a whirl, can anybody offer any local knowledge that may be of help. We plan to go, a week on Sunday (4th June), the tide will be small and we'll be fishing low tide at night. An area to fish and bait preference considering the conditions, would be very much appreciated. Regards, Eddie

only flatties and eels at the bulnose preston, bullnose Clevely's for the species you mention, only ever heard of one bas in last three years caught by a junior in a match last August so it was verified

eddie, bullnose at preston is not a nice place to fish, most of what you get are flounders, and some eels, it is dirty and you can cast to the other bank, if you cracked off you could kill someone on the other side. but its ok for kids who live locally and have no transport, and cant get proper bait, because you can catch on earth worms and boiled prawns and strips of bacon rind, or use maggots on the off chance you might illeagally catch a sea trout, eddie: it is not sea fishing as you know it. try low tide anywhere between Bispham and Fleetwood and fish all the way up and an hour back, good luck.
