new to this angling malarky i went to arnside yesterday and fished the tide down for four hours using a two hook flapper with ragworm. caught two small flounder but what i need to know is 1 am i using the right bait? 2 am i fishing the right time and tide? 3 is there anymore venues round morecambe bay and barrow? also i noticed there was only me fishing does everyone know something i don't?

hi mate i used to fish it on the in comeing tide it brings the fish up with it

try holker hall, greenod or the end of the canal at ulverston. all are high water venues and should be fished around 2 to 3 hours up and down.

you could also try priory point just past ulverston, at the back of the bhudist monastery, fish the last hour down then fish it up, rag, peeler, and lug have all caught for me. peeler probably best. and i found it fished best on smallish tides. sometimes you see weird looking blokes on the beach, they are from the monastery they are harmless. drive through ulverston and look out for a narrow lane on the right, you can drive right down to the beach and park at the end.

thanx evryone 4 all the info will be puttin it all 2 good use in the next few weeks seem to remember my dad takin me to greenodd when I was a nipper and a place called conder green

enef66 conder green is a lot further south of these other venues, on south of lune estuary, near glasson dock, where there used to be some big grey mullet in the dock.
