Hello readers Cant tell you how pleased i am to see a sea fishing site interested in kayak fishing. Myself and a friend both have 15ft sit on top Prowlers and fish around North Wales and Anglesey. We have been using them for a year this month and can honestly say they are the best investment we have made. Lets put it this way people laugh when i tell them how i fish so i say to them " tell you what i will bet you a tenner if after both of us are set up we will move all are gear 100yrds up the coast and carry on fishing". I can guarantee i will be there fishing when the other fella is still packing up. The key is mobility, many times during a session. Are catch rate has doubled. Will send pic interested

Congratulations John ;D You're the first person to ever post on the new kayak forum. New pages on it are now on the website at www.nwsa.ukf.net (towards bottom of menu under boat fishing). I hope it'll be of use to a few people. I've now joined the kayak phenomena although my shiny new kayak has yet to see saltwater.

what do you think about people kayaking for recreation? do you think it damages the river and banks?

We're sea anglers so we don't go anywhere near river banks so we wouldn't know.

Excellent- have been looking forward to this site coming on line for ages as I have been stuggling with the what and how of kayak angling. I am about to join the ranks as a newbie. Have got some wet suit stuff, PFD etc but still trying to decide on a first time angling yak. I am struggling to decide between a Caper and a P13 at the moment - any comments would be nice as I am going to buy this weekend no matter what. Need to find a quiet spot for some self rescue practise before venturing out. Perhaps there's a chance to join the Jan 1st expedition if I can get a bit of experience in the meantime. Have got loads more questions on all aspects but I'll leave that for another day. One again Brill and thanks - georgie

The Jan 1st meet would be a perfect oppertunity for you to christen your kayak in the ocean with lots of other kayakers to help along with a safety boat as well. It'll be my first venture into the sea with my Malibu 2 so you won't be the only newbie.

Glad to know I'm not alone. Go on then - sink or swim - at least there should be plenty of rescuers around. Book me in as kayak No. 11 i think. I may also have a mate interested to join in on his yak also, will let you know in a couple of days. Will email moby no's later.
Cheers Glyn.

Let me know if your mate can make it (and his name) so I can keep account of numbers. So far it's 15 people in 9 single kayaks, 2 double kayaks and 1 safety boat. It'll look quite a sight and provide a fantastic photo oppertunity to the Daily Post reporter. We can line up on the beach with our yaks for a photo shoot and then he can take a picture of us all launching. Ray of Vic Angling will be there with a digi camera which will give us some pics for the website as I'll certainly be making a webpage about it.

Glyn Please book my mate in as Eddie. He's a popular lad and I know he will be really happy to be a part of it and to meet everyone involved- it should be a real good day - the start of something that could run and run !
Will email the moby nos early next week - best of luck and a big thanks for the encouragement.
