I havn't done it yet but I hope to give it a try. I've done something similar with my motorbike. Me and my daughter toured the west coast of Ireland on motorbike with tents and telescopic rods. What a blast! It was tough living though and a kayak would be even tougher. Keeping things dry was a challenge and I expect even more so in a kayak. But imagine all the places to camp for the night cooking freshly cooked fish on an open fire. Me and Melissa did this on a campsite in Ireland and the aroma of barbacued bass overwhelmed the campsite and people were asking where we bought it in which we replied 'We caught it'. Aaaaah, memories. Yes I can see the kayak being used for that but it would have to be well organised with good gear. Wet sleeping bags and soggy matches equals miserable nights. Maybe in summer a few of us could do a 2 dayer around a part of Anglesey. Well the kayaks there to be used and not as an attractive feature of the garage so..........why not?

me and a m8 went all around the norfolk broads fishing and camping. the only saltwater stuff was when we went out into yarmouth bay. i do like the idea of a travel along the welsh coast.
