Anyone know much about the Ocean Loko? Decathalon are selling them for £184 each and I'm pondering whether to get one for my daughters Christmas present. She'd be ecstatic. She was mega-eager to jump into my Malibu 2 and has been in it more than me It looks small enough for her to handle easily and she'd love being able to say she has her very own yak. Here it is below. Anyone know much about them?

The kids brought a yak board this summer they are the same idea, Lots of fun in the surf but hard to work if you are going any distance. Sarah loves it. but wont fish of it, it is just for messing in the waves. And there are plenty of them at Dina's dinlle. My Nephew Thomas

You sold the idea to me John with the picture. I collected the Loko yesterday. Keeping it hidden from her until Christmas is a problem. I've told her what she's getting but she hasn't been allowed to see it. She's very excited. I've gone full hog and got a backrest for it as well. Told Melissa about Sarah having one and she came up with the idea of meeting up with our yaks. She says the Dads will go on the bigguns and her and Sarah on the best ones. I suppose that's the childs perspective!
Decathalon are really cheap and I wonder if I should have gone there for mine. The Loko is £184 instead of the £264 at kayak retailers. The malibu 2 is just ££300 and Prowler 13 is £380. That's cheap! They have every kayak you can imagine although you may have to wait 2 or 3 days if it's not in stock.
Mind you, I did get a very personal service from CanoeKayakTrader and I'm always e-mailing them for advice which I don't think I'd get from Decathalon.

Ha ha, we'll both be trapped playing in the surf now instead of serious fishing. Sarah would love to meet up! I'll mail you with some suggested dates.

It'd be an oppertunity for me to try a prowler and you to try a malibu and Melissa and Sarah would have the time of their life with the Loko and Yakboard.
