Well, I've just riveted my cargo netting on in preperation for 'Mission Arctic Orme' on Jan 1st. They look ok and tight etc. Can rivets leak and should I put some kind of sealant on them to be sure to be sure?

Yes but the amount of water would be negligible .

I do hope you used Monel !! not alloy ones -- and -- not steel washers !! erm .. but then .. .. .. .. IOf I am forced to use the alloy type - I usually squidgy a drop of Araldite in the holes = both sides to stop water ingress. I also tend to knock out the steel 'knobbly bit' with the 'nail bit' of the pop-rivet - stops the electrolitic action of steel + alloy + saltwater ..... then bung up the hole.

I usually squeeze a little Loctite Sealant Adhesive into the hole before inserting the rivet. My Prowler is still as dry inside as the day it was delivered and it's full of new holes so taking care with all fittings and adding that dolllop each time is worth it. SM
