Just registered my little green boat with yellow & orange stripes as kayak georgie 1. www.mcga.gov.uk/c4mca/mcga-hm_coastguard/mcga-hmcg-cg66.htm Shore fishing tonight ( not sure if i should say that on a kayak site). To meet the HW in a forcast rough sea at north shore. Armed with fresh lug cocktails it just might fish. over

just managed to print the CG66 off, and will be filling it in shortly.
I think that if you own a kayak you should do the same so in the event of any incidents the coastguard have all your, and your home or next of kin details.
It also makes life easier for the coastguard too, when you contact them they have instant accsess to your details rather having to go through everything over the phone or radio, a lot quicker if your in a bit of a pickle!! ;D

Hi, Guys,
Just another little tip regarding the Coastguard Form CG66, If you attatch an A4 sheet with a paperclip With a photo of your yak on it, and also a long list of contact names and numbers, this will be of value not only during a rescue but also if your yak is lost or stolen. You know the old saying, 'If it can happen, it will happen.
