Me, Kev and Tim fished Cable Bay. It was nice to get to know Tim for the first time as I never got the chance on the Pensarn meet. Also nice to see Martin there. Glorious sunny day with blue sky and blue clear sea. We tried for Rays in the Ty Croes direction but nothing doing so moved to the opposite side and fished with floats opposite the burial mound about 200 yards out where the kelp beds end and had coalies to 2lb. Such clear water we could see the coalies coming in as we reeled them in from 20 ft down. There were also whitings and pollock. All fish returned. On the way back, it was so calm we paddled right up to the rocks and it was like being in the med with clear water and the rocks gliding underneath us. Messed about near the rocks for quite some time then came back. Lined up ready to go on a beautiful day. Lovely day for fishing Good fun with the coalies on float rigs. Water so clear it was like flying over rocks Kev did some exploring Going back Only 6 inches of surf but it capsized Kev and he couldn't get back up We've been through a long winter and some of us havn't experienced summer yakking yet. Me, Tim and Kev have now though. This was a taste of things to come. Kayak 2006 has started ;D

We were talking about you on the paddle back and of all the places in Devon and Cornwall you'll have at your fingertips and how nice that is. We also decided though that you'll also have the big ocean swells (not nice) ;D

Cheers martin I will have to take u up on ya kind offer soon. Was gona come down to the last meet at pensarn but i ended up fishing on anglesey. What sort of rack system would be best to use on a 306 there are no points on the roof for attaching the a rack? The yaks them self seem very good value and u seem to get a hell of a bit of kit for ya money its just the extras like racks etc im worried about

there must be a way of putting a rack on your car, i bought an inflatable rack for my kayak because at the time i didnt want to fit a rack to my car. the inflatable rack will only do if your car is 5 door, baisicly it goes across the roof, one front and one back, the strap goes through with the doors open and through a buckle on the other end of the rack, then you pump it up, its quite secure, but the only down side is it pinches back the door seals and if it rains water can get in, have a look at them at www.handirackuk.com i think ive got that right, off the top of my head! see what you think, i still use one and happy with it
