Finally managed to upload my pics. Chris P arrives and heads for the reef. Zebra demonstrates his Kayak Flag theory as a swell builds and he steadily disappears. Peace on the water The Gaffer contemplates life, the Universe and where have all the fish gone. Martin upto his neck in it again Glyn taking my daughter Ffion for a burst on his Malibu 2 Martin and Stuart trying the new yak design and more Martin action shots, riding the surf. Everone faced this on the way back in. Brilliant fun. Looking forward to the next one - and thanks to John and Jackie for their hospitality. Georgie

I like the pic of me and Ffion going over the breaker. Pity the camera didn't click just a split second earlier as Ffion rose about 2 meters in the air at the front The one of Martin lying face down staring at his yak is a classic. The hot bacon butties and coffee after getting wet in the surf was pure heaven.

Terry, the lesson of the rod holder is if your comming back in through a surf zone like that you need to break the rods down and pack them in the webbing not sticking out the rod holder like i did, with the rod holder buried in the hull there's no give if you take a tumble. whereas there is some give in the flag which is only sitting in a moveable tube in the crate. So thats what i learned on saturday.
and Glyn, i tried but missed that shot of you and Ffion going skywards, it would have made the set, my camera has about a 2 secs delay after taking a shot before the next, dont like it. I will be looking for a digi camera capable of continous sports action shots like my old Nippon SLR . All the best.

How much do you pay for an average kayak and do they have to be special ones or have anything done to them to make them suitable?
