I would have come but i'm tied up in a tae-kwon-do comp in deeside on Sunday. Mind you, you would be best going Saturday for a first session. I agree with zebra you'll get your skirt lifted on Sunday, if its SW at 20mph or so you need to get out of its way and find a sheltered spot . Cable Bay is a surf beach and will probably look like this. www.rhosneigr.org.uk/Gallery/PicsCbayCanoe.htmlDon't fotget communications safety, vhf, mobile in waterproof case, flarepack. Sorry for being a nanny but it might be rough on Sunday. Best of luck

You might be wise there alan because during the day you will be on an ebb tide with what is forecast to be a fairly strong off- shore wind. You will be fighting the tide and the wind getting back in. If you just wanted to do some safety practise and get used to the boat why not try an inland water, like the Marine Lake at West Kirby or Bala or the likes anywhere else or maybe on the sea somewhere like - launch at rhos-on-sea paddle close to shore to penrhyn bay and it may even be totally calm there , but you can't be sure.

georgeb is totaly correct alanc you have made the right decision to wait take the time to fit out your boat have you got all the safety gear ?? the money saved from sunday could buy you a set of flares or a first aid kit or maybe a compass they are all esential terry
