After having some fun in the surf at the 4th feb meet at dinas, im after getting a small surf kayak, it helped to make my mind up when georgieb and myself turned up at llandudno north shore on saturday with our p13's for a paddle but it just wasn't do'able. Has anyone ever tried or owned an ocean kayak yak board, they seem to be the daddy in the surf according to all the write-ups. im currently bidding on a frenzy on e-bay but im thinking that the frenzy's not the way to go. I tried the images daughters loko at the dinas meet but found it a little too short for me. anyone got any suggestions??

Hi martin take a look at Islanders Big stick and Lipstick these two are real surf boats and come with thigh straps for those tight turns. Brookbank Canoes are selling them for a few quid more than a frenzy.
;D ;D ;D Surfs up dude

Ive put myself out of my missery, i had a bit of an impulse buy at deva marine yesterday. Got myself a ocean kayak yak board. Got the boat, delux knee straps and a backrest the same as you get with the p13's for£360. Well... it was there taunting me wasnt it, and as usual i snapped like a kit-kat ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yes, my one regret of the 4th Feb meet was not trying Ffions Frenzy. Mind you, prising it off her would have been like trying to tug a bone off a rottweiler!
