I am looking forward to get out there in the kayak as i have not been out for just over 1 month. The weather will be cold enough to freeze the bits off a brass monkey.

I know what you mean about the snow ! A view from my backyard ,Snowdonia-ish in the distance (looks like gilbo's post earlier puts my kayak storage scheme to shame ). My garden pond is beneath this pack ice( 3-4" thick) with 20 odd fish in it almost in hibernation on the bottom. Thought it might give you a smile on this deepfreeze weekend. Look fwd to the next meet - all the best- george

Nice one guys, appreciate the joky bits - its nice to have a giggle in the midst of this winter with so little else, in fishing terms going on . I have sat down tonight with my wife and kids, all at the table which up until recently was rare , had a roast dinner and a glass of wine and watched Jonny English for the umpteenth time- and still laughed all the way through- love the bit where the Ausies are howling in the back of a pick up when they see the Archbishops moonie. Like ken dodd says- laughter is good for you - so i'm really glad you had a smile. The wind moves into the west on teusday, all this snow and cold water will flood out during the early part of this week- Spring may arrive? How's next weekend looking? Have a good week everyone - georgie
