the weather did,NT look to promising but decided to give it a go along with my nephew Steven so we set off for cable bay we arrived at 11am the surf was very slight so got out without a problem . we paddled to the left the sea was very choppy but added to the excitement any worse and we would have turned back but paddled on and anchored at a small rocky island 1st time i,d used my (0.75kg)anchor it held the 2 of us in about 30 ft of water the fishing was very snagy there we lost a bit of tackle so we packed in,went back to the car for some soup and a warm and out again there to our surprise was another yaker we ended up having agreat day well worth the trip
