hi image ive tried the prowler 13 and cant notice any differance the perception is 2" shorter but 2" wider and about the same weight the hatch is smaller but wont make any differance to most of us because large items can be stowed on the back, slight differences and a little dearer but it came with foot rests a scotty ,seat ,and3 rod holders and paddle all personnel choice and availability but not dissappionted in any way sorry to hatter for not offering a try out but just couldnt weight to paddle you know the feeling lads .hope this helps people with a bit more varity of choice

The freedom seems to be worth the money it's fast stable and looks good. The storage area at the back might seem to be a long way back, but there is plenty of room to mount your tackle box directly behind you which would make it very easy to access your gear. It also has plenty of rod holders, the one on the bow might seem a bit far away but if you are fishing 2 rods it is in the perfect place and very easy to see. I can't wait to see how it handles in the rough conditions of angelsey. This seems to be a kayak well worth considering

i liked the front hatch desing on the perceptions, better than the prowlers, they had a good tight rubber seal and looked to be pretty water tight, think i will have to get a neoprene cover to go over mine, good pics there guys. not supprised your feet were like ice, it was freezing just stood on the beach when you were getting yourselfs sorted what was the current like in the river?? tribble, tried to pm you back ref the rescue trainig the other day but i was blocked from sending to you, dont want you to think im ignoring you and this is the only way of letting you know, you may need to adjust your settings. martin

Tribble, Have a look at the Scotty Extension, it may help to bring the holder at the front a little closer if the front mount is angled back towards you, can't tell from the photo's. Handsome looking kayak. SM
