have a look at this and tell me what you think i made it in work along with a trolley but the trolley did not work too well tried to make it to light wight but the rack makes it easy for one man to load and off load a kayak the rack comes down over the side of your car so you do not have to stretch over the car and you can strap it on the rack before putting it on your car once you have strapped it on you just push it up once up all you do is put two pins in to locate the rack in the lock position

it is a good piece of kit, you did a good job of that too hatter. you never know mate you may get orders from all over the world now, hatter enterprises ;D ;D ;D how heavy is it though? could you make one from aluminium?

That roof rack is a bit of alright, the amount of times tribble and i have strained are selves leaning over at 5 o'clock in the morning putting the kayaks on top of the car and strapping them down and its gets even more of a problem after a hard days paddling. Thats winning idea if ever i saw one, put me down for one. Have you got plans for a two yak rack.
